I've been trying to play more new-to-me games lately, and you know...for the longest time I thought I was just not into video games anymore, but it turns out that I just didn't like the genres that the hugely hyped titles were in
even JRPGs, my old favorite genre, kind of lost me when the trend started to slide more and more towards adding action elements, I think. I don't DISLIKE action-y games but I'm a lot more picky about how they work, especially when they're 3D
At the moment I've been playing Phantom Brave and Pharoah+Cleopatra, which is an old strategy city-sim game my friend got me because, well, he likes it and we both love Egypt. Lots of fun, almost zero military emphasis which is nice for a historical sim game
