I am currently not trying to stop seething in pure rage about the lack of dentist for Alzheimer's patients.

And that the dental insurance that my parents have only is accepted at very specific general practice locations so finding one for my mom is even harder

Like, I even called the Alz Association today to ask for recommendations, and the girl, though sweet, couldn't give me an answer

So now I get to call down the list of providers that the insurance gave us that can maybe lead to someone who at least worked with a dementia patient before

And I am stopping for today since most locations are closed at 2 around here, which is absurd

why 2 pm on a wednesday??

Like, I know it is also a national day of mourning, but that only effects the mail/delivery services

And on top of this new obstacle we get to deal with, I also need to prep for her to go to the hospital tomorrow for a swallow study

which, if any of you want to know, is a test to see if a person can swallow different consistencies to make sure it is going down properly

instead of to the lungs
