It went SO WELL. My curator (who's bee at this facility since the 70's) says that she has never seen such a quiet, smooth otter introduction.

They were almost immediately swimming and playing together.

Less than an hour later, mating behavior was seen.

GUYS.

We could have baby otters as soon as September. JUST in time for me to be working in the area responsible for caring for the otters.
