Rainstormsea I like to say the only thing I've ever used my theatre degree for is customer service but

my partner actually pulled me into rp shortly after I graduated, I had a botched experience with a former friend in college and kind of avoided it

but with their encouragement I realized rp is this beautiful blend of improv and writing, they asked me to join their cosplay/rp group and before I knew it I was Hooked

so I use my theatre training in rp! I and my roommates do stuff irl all the time, and I've done structured exercises! I love Meisner technique lmao

now I'm really glad I asked that question cause this is a great answer! I never did improv or anything like it but I've been rping since I was like 16 so it's cool to see things from that perspective

Rainstormsea yeah!! it was definitely a different approach from like... most people who get into rp. the muse thing really clicked for me once I got into it though.

I love using my training to identify like, ways of embodying the character. physicality, voice, emotions, it's all good stuff.
I feel similarly about theatre informing rp

what does the sun/moon thing mean?! i see it everywhere but i don't know astrology
poetrics
the easiest way to explain it is your sun sign is the broadest overview of you- your ego, so to speak- but the rest of the planets in your birth chart (what the sky looked like when you were born) play a factor too!
poetrics

your moon sign specifically informs your inner self, your emotions
okay. How would I go about finding what mine are?

there are a ton of great resources out there if you're curious about meanings and whatnot too
