don't know how many californians i have on my plurk but... bruh.. they only have one location per county
butte county gets two for some reason but according to the source tweet, water, charging, and ac will be provided
My county isn’t on there... hmmm
i'd do a google search for local news. found a report that shows community centers offering resources too in san jose
In addition to the PG&E resource center at Avaya Stadium, San Jose officials will offer cellphone charging stations and air conditioning at the city’s Mayfair, Camden, and South Side community centers, near the neighborhoods expected to lose power.
so even if pg&e isn't setting one up in some affected areas ( :| ) local officials might be
wish i'd looked this stuff up earlier in the day bc my boss mentioned it during work but i thought iwas just one of those 'gonna be out for a few hours and that's it' so i didn't bother until i got off work...
everything about this is infuriating
For an entire week? Thst is dome shit.
Get with the program and start start trimming trees around power lines and making sure power lines are in good condition.
I had no idea their equipment was responsible for the Camp Fire. Looks like that story got less than 24 hours of news coverage.
yep and now they're taking people's power away instead of fixing their infrastructure
Fuck PG&E there equipment also caused a massive explosion in 2010/11 that destroyed a whole neighborhood they don’t fix anything ignore complaints and keep hiking gas and electric prices
And the camp fire which they tried to cover up
Fuck_Mars: Yeah, I read the investigationm Their equipment that caused it was flagged as sparking a week before.
My uncle lives up there it was fucking scary
And my friend lived a few blocks out of the blast radius for the explosion and had to evacuate because they where having trouble shutting off the gas
I hope they are working on their infrastructure while these outages are going on, but I don't see anythung saying that they are.
They aren’t they are the only choice in nor cal
I lived in nor cal for 30 years only been go 6 grad school and some other stuff but moving back around June. They never change
They’ve been fined and sued multiple times
Yep, PG&E is an excellent example of why monopolies are bad for everyone but the monopoly.
:| I love that they don't have any for us San Franciscans
Because they say they're not going to let it happen here in SF but despite it we've still been getting spontaneous rolling power outages throughout the city all week
Everyone on the citizen crime watch app keeps making "the purge" references
twitter is also making those references. specifically in the style of PurGE
THis makes me so excited to move back home :|
