is a Navy destroyer necessary for a life boat?

I'm not sure...maybe it was the closest US boat to where the incident is.

On Yahoo this morning it said that the captain tried to escape but was recaptured.

I wish that they could get on the boat to save him.

my dad was talking with my mom last night and said that he thought that they should not pay the ransom and not reward the pirates

Yeah he did risk himself. I just don't understand why they would send a Navy destryoer to take down a life boat.

cant they always capture the pirates once they give them what they want once they get the captain back

the thing is that the pirates dont really care about the captain it is the money or stolen goods they want

i mean its not like they cant catch them

it sucks but his life may be the price they have to pay to save the lives of others

they could always catch the pirates and get the money back

althoughthat would make the us look bad
