what would be your dream ending for the game?

i've personally loved the idea of a babadook ending, where they just. keep the world eaters and feed them periodically because like. can't really get rid of depression and darkness, but at least it'll be here in the basement ig

but there's so much range? and i'm just big curious about what everybody's like, dream is.

I don't really want a dead ending...and there's a part of me that wants restoration of some kind. But I know that's not likely given the heavy implications in the game of the dead staying dead? kinda thing?

I do want the world eaters defeated, I feel like that is an important goal for the future of in-universe life, and also I like that kind of closure/satisfaction. but the how and the ultimate outcome for the PCs I am totally flexible on. they stay dead with lanterns? cool. they come back to life? cool. they disappear into the aether? fine

The problem I have...is Maes has experience with being brought back to life thanks to Astoria and Jason still thinks he's in the wrong underworld -- and so they both kinda want things to be set right in that regard XD

Misty wants dead eaters and world-hopping or bust, and I am...mostly neutral? So long as there's a concrete resolution.

My ideal ending is they find a way to stop the World Eaters, and perhaps implausibly are allowed to choose if they get restored to life or die, and even more implausibly get to choose where to go if they live.

I doubt that will happen but let people's cross fandom CR live on

As a slut for a bittersweet happy-ish ending.... my ideal would be unable to defeat world eaters permanently, but able to contain them in a pocket dimension as long as volunteers stay behind offering up their light and energy to keep the world eaters complacent, becoming lock and key for a pocket dimension.
