[lit] When you're not sure if you like a book, but it held your attention enough that you're suddenly looking for when the sequel comes out

I don't know if I like the main character (I certainly don't dislike him), but the premise is engaging, and the author's done his homework
Also I'm really curious to know if he ends up with the deaf Roman legionnaire, the British girls' field hockey team captain, or both XD
