went to a restaurant with table service and sat there on the porch eating and having a cocktail. Slightly nervous, but it was a very quiet time and no one came near without a mask on.

Was awkward trying to decide if I should put my mask back up between courses, or when I was talking to the staff (who are my friends). It didn't feel like a safety issue so much as a social one. It felt wrong to have a conversation (even at a distance) where only one of us was wearing a mask.

They're so happy that you're not speaking German that they're just fine with you not wearing a mask.

My brother and his wife just celebrated their tenth anniversary this week, but they do not feel safe going to a sit-down restaurant even though Florida has opened wider than many states. I wonder how long it will take for this to be over, and how long after that until we really feel safe again.

So many people don't take it seriously, it's just scary.

I can't imagine feeling comfortable sitting inside a restaurant. One of my waitstaff friends said he doesn't think it will happen this summer.

I’m assuming I won’t be sitting down in a restaurant until at least 2021 ☹️

Florida. I have said of Governor DeSantis that his head is so far up Trump's ass, all he can see if Fox News. Florida's numbers are climbing steadily but most of the people I see are just back to life as normal. <shaking head>

I picked up dinner at a restaurant that was open for outside dining. I am not ready to act as 'normal' as most of those folks.

I won't be acting as "normal" for a really long time. Expecting sometime in late 2021 at best.
