weird that ffxiv's audience has expanded so wide that ppl be asking what wol means

i think it's interesting that playing from ffxiv means you exist in this weird space of addressing who the wol is...?

i guess it isn't THAT strange tho bc CRAU/drop techniques in DWsphere facilitate this whole, oh you aren't the ___ i'm used to or whatever

seems like there's a definite stigma against playing wols and it's understandable, one is placing a lot of pressure on assumed relationships lol

if i had to rp a wol, i'd definitely keep relationships with npcs as straightforward as possible lol

but it seems like some ppl push for romantic and stuff, which is like..... hmmm perhaps keep this to yourself

on some level, i understand why ppl wanna rp their wols bc... who doesn't love their wol

and fandom for the most part is super supportive of wol/npc ships lol

but it does seem like npc rpers have a hard time finding rp that isn't just with wols
