They're not expecting her to make it

She's cognitive and awake, but not verbal or very emotive

She's 102 and she's had a lot of just... "slowing down" going on over the last year and a half

And she had a bad stroke in 2018, right after she turned 100, which she recovered from but did leave her in much worse shape than she was before

Talked to Dad yesterday and everyone's more or less accepting that this is it

Oh goodness. /hugs. Doesn’t get any easier, but I’m so sorry to hear this. Strokes are awful. What a strong lady she is, tho, 102!

Dad told me he mentioned that Barney (one of their cats, Grandma's favorite one) wanted to sit on her lap, and she smiled so widely at that
