entirely understandable because setsuna is also soft about love

maybe, setsuna, if you also said these things to love, instead of just being constantly grateful that you are getting to spend time with her when you're around her, you wouldn't still be a bundle of yearning

because the thing is .... the thing is, love is not subtle on this front, all setsuna has to do is start saying "so, love, i was wondering, would you like to -" and she wouldn't be able to finish the sentence for how fast love would shout "YES" before she even found out what the thing she just agreed to was.

like this is one of those situations where if setsuna actually asks love if she wants to date ... girls, much less setsuna herself, what she's got a 50/50 chance of hearing back in response is

"but haven't we been dating for the last two years already? i thought you knew we were dating."

partly because setsuna's that much of a hesitant idiot and partly because love is the sort of idiot who legitimately would get so worked up about the thought of having that conversation in her head one day that she'd forget she had that entire conversation in her head instead of out loud and then proceed to carry on assuming it was a done deal
