yeah, one thing abt precure is that precures can look anywhere from close but not quite their civvie guise and their magical girl selves, to wildly different

(that said, IIRC, in the sailor moon manga, the one time they run into a guy who knows them pretty well in their civilian identities and gets an actual, honest to God good look at them, recognizes them pretty easily.)
