I keep sadposting here and I'm sorry but I had a thought while rereading dalton and just. Dwight shortly after HN in recovery tries to relax and binge the first season of spn again but the first ep literally starts with the house fire and he slams the laptop shut in frustration because he can't even enjoy his comfort show anymore /shot 
but it gets so much worse when you realize how much that scene crops up in "the road so far" intros or even how much fire there really is in the show, even in more fun episodes like changing channels alex brought up in the tags on tumblr
so imagine if you will an overly apologetic Dwight asking a trusted friend to screen his favorite episode so he doesn't trigger a panic attack again
