What equipment is best for open grid photography? I want to travel around SL taking amazing photos but not sure what huds work well with each other. I need to add my poses/animations in a hud but also need lights and animation editing huds I guess for on location? I'm a little overwhelmed.... thanks in advance. (p-unsure)

Lumipro. You can get it on MP, but if you see it in world, you can demo it there.

CapriceFranizzi: You are welcome. It’s pricey, but worth it.

LailaLaP: I'm looking at it but still new to understanding this stuff. Do I add my animations/poses to the HUD and it controls all the joints and expressions? Or do I need something additional?

anypose, for that/ Lumi pro will just play the poses, do lights and colors

CapriceFranizzi: IF you can get used to the black dragon viewer, it will allow you in viewer to make modifications to poses in a way that isn't possible otherwise (it's much more fine control than anypose)

Allegory: so i am learning Black Dragon actually... started messing with it last week. I still know very little, especially what it's capable of so this is def good to know. Are there any tutorials you suggest I check out?

CapriceFranizzi: i am pretty bad at it, so unfortunately not really! there's an internal poser (you get to it from the top menu, i think it's in the first tab) that lets you freeze and adjust actual poses, instead of overriding joints, and also lets you adjust ALL the bones (like, i can get better facial expressions out of it since i can tweak to my face)

i use black dragon for everything photo related. no other equipment needed. i highly recommend Sasscassmiddles tutorials on how to use it. you can find them in her tutorial playlist Blogger Tutorials - YouTube

I just use a hud I made that cycles through the pose anims I stuffed in it. And the Anypose Hud for control over eyes and hands.

I just turn on shadows and find a windlight I like, fiddle the sun position. My pics are a bit "raw" comparted to some, I don't do the stylistic stuff that others do.

Anypose is free: AnyPose Expression

Random sample of one my "better" shots. I really took it to show off the shovel guitar, but liked how it turned out:

Clint_D: that version of anypose is more useful for those who haven't made the full mesh plunge- those hands and expressions are only for System morphs. the eye lock is still useful though! (i usually use an eye lock built in to a mesh head expression thing now though)

Oh, right. The eye control is more useful on "furries" that don't have eye control on the head hud.

And is there a hand-hud out there? The body hud is a little unwieldly when trying to take photos...
