[language] Sometimes I think about how General American English has around 15 vowel sounds and RP has around 20 to 22 and stare into the distance.
This is compared to the five vowel sounds in Spanish
and we have five and a half vowel letters
(French has eleven because you know, French)
Honestly for native Spanish speakers English must seem completely insane.
Though the least number of vowels any language has is two.
