not enough people know about the Eminem/Canibus beef and how fucking funny it was and how it ended with Canibus accusing Eminem of being a scion of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn controlling the music industry through magic
latest #15
I was so disappointed when it turned out that Eminem is NOT in fact descended from the 19th Century occultist and developer of the Ryder-Waite tarot deck, Samuel Mathers
canibus wrote a whole concept album about how sad he was that Eminem wasn't returning his phone calls :-(

(obviously warning for homophobic slurs)
but literally, imagine you pour your entire heart into hating a guy, write poetry about him, and he responds with a track so intentionally cartoonishly stupid you can't even figure out if he's making fun of you
in 2009 Canibus finally came back at him with this absolutely psychotic track in which he puts THE OTHER MEMBERS OF D12 ON IT
also blames Eminem for his own child abuse, which didn't make him popular

I am enjoying learning this
most enimem fans prefer his serious battles where he is righteously demolishing someone but my fav diss tracks from him are always the ones where he is just trying to wind people up, or playing with them like a cat playing with a bird
nobody else does "annoying little brother kicking you under the table" like Eminem. it is his strongest mode imo
KILLSHOT [Official Audio] he obviously goes a lot harder on Machine Gun Kelly than he went on Canibus but what makes this track so good is that he plays it like a pleasant dad who woke up to find someone talking some shit about him on the internet and just utterly squelching this little pretender
I really like how he was able to develop his annoying little brother persona into "your pun-obsessed dad embarrasses you in front of your friends, then sends you to your room"

sorry, the idea of the Golden Dawn society controlling the music industry is hilarious all by itself
someone on twitter suggested it was "anti-Emitism"
