- I love the easy familiarity and the teasing between the scions when they set out for Sharlayan. I certainly have my favourites but at this point I really just love the whole group
"Little Lord Alphinaud" omg Estinien
- the sheer fondness with which Raha looks at the WoL when we wake up next to him from our nap on the ship <3 <3
- hi there, Hydaelyn! The glare the WoL gives her when you say you don't trust her is quite something.
(Hydaelyn? Venat? Is there a difference anymore)
- "unemployed" Estinien trying to get let into Sharlayan and getting rescued by Krile...
- I love walking around with NPCs so much, and the various, err, variations of that. They really like playing around with that new toy!
- aww, G'raha reminiscing about building a Community around the Crystal Tower, and using Sharlayan as his inspiration. Those are such old memories for him now; both of his arrival in the First and of having been to Sharlayan last. (And at the same time, it's not been that long for other parts of him)
- the Scions looking out for each other is always heartwarming. I liked the bit when Urianger talks about not having had the courage to talk to Moen's parents after her death, and Estinien saying that whether or not to come with them and have to do that, is his choice to make.
- oh noooo debilitating aether sickness. my stomach problems and I sympathise.
pls don't let Alphi and Estinien spend money together
- doing the msq with that Urianger scene mentioned above, the anxious fishseller, and the sidequestline with the steppe warrior overcoming her fear of the matanga, close together has me musing on themes of fear and bravery/acting in spite of it and I'm going to keep an eye out for more of that
- I laughed so hard when we travelled on dodo-back with Vashran I missed half the conversation
wobble wobble wobble wobble
my poor bunny looked scared to fall off at any moment XD
- the soldiers at the Hatchery thinking of Vashrahn as a sort of little brother was very sweet (and now i want them to find out the twist from the end of the arc, haha)
- oof, the conversation between (particularly) Thancred and Estinien about the Telophoroi's motives And hopeless nights. I loved how visceral thancred's description felt. And they#re choosing life/to not hurt others anyway.
"The more you see and suffer life's injustices, the more ifficult they become to bear" is too real.
- pfffft of course Fandaniel was Amon.
I just remember that absolutely ridiculous/fabulous hat
- man I loved the Varshahn reveal. I was so worried about him but turns out I needn't have been XD
his dynamic with the Satrap (the whole family line and the current one) is also interesting
- back in Sharlayan, there's a moment in the quest where you all do research when you can talk to G'raha again before moving on to the next quest step but he won't talk to you because he's so focused on the book he's reading that he doesn't notice you're trying to talk to him. I love this nerd. <3
- "What will you serve?" during the quest where you try to gather information by waiting tables
"Urbane banter with a smile" XD XD XD
- nooooo Alisaie, don't do that to yourseeeeelf (the whole "if only I had been more civil, maybe things would've turned out differently with our father" thing)
- have I mentioned yet that I adore Emet's narration. because I do.
- Erenville is so pretty. And charming. I love him a whole lot too.
- the dude who tells you about the emotion flowers either has Ardbert's voice actor or his VA just sounds very very similar and I jumped in my seat before I realise who was and wasn't talking to us there
And that is as far as I've gotten
except for the dodos. the dodos are scary.
wobble wobble wobble wobble
the thavnair arc is so good and I LOVE THE SCIONS TALKING TO EACH OTHER I'm just
Estinien!! has grown so much!!!
all the dialogue just being ribbit ribbit was so good
I think the "talk to guest" thing in ff3 does the same when you do it in the Tower of Owen but it was just perfect here
Scions! Estinien! Estinien being a Scion! Feelings!!
if anyone reading this wants a good laugh, I am currently running the first dungeon with trusts and spent a not insignificant part of the first boss battle trying to "dodge" Estinien's skills because I thought they were the bosses
clearly I have not fought side by side with dragoons enough recently <.<
