[animorphs] i love that you can just say stuff like "the way the oatmeal book deals with the ethics of war regarding an invading but distinctly civilian population" and people will just be engage with that because it's a given that yes there's a book that deals with that in this kids series and also yes it is "the oatmeal book."
also then you actually open the book and there's like three full pages interspersed where the prose is just pew pew zap but
okay but the way the oatmeal books deal with the ethics of war IS FASCINATING
