if you had to throw a character into the MCU pre infinity war, where would you put them? Especially for some found family trope and some slow burn with Steve, maybe Steve and Bucky both. The character I’d throw in is Ichigo from Bleach, for the record.

I would pick either just before or during TWS. Narratively it would be easiest to swap him out with Sam, if you’re looking to stay real close to the original storylines, just layer in some of that slow burn. Then you can either branch into CW to incorporate Bucky or write something fresh.
That’s a good point. It would work for either bleach and MCU being in the same universe or for Ichi getting moved between universes

Steve and Bucky are approx early 30s for the events of TWS. I could easily make Ichi that age
But do I want Ichigo that age? Or do I make him younger so people mistake him for a twink?
The idea of Steve assuming Ichigo is a twink and then seeing him shirtless and having a Moment about it delights me. (Maybe even with a boob-touch like when Peggy saw Steve come out of the pod thing...)
