[adadev/gamedev] because I thought it would be fun or whatever I’m detailing the process of my capstone project here (summary: I’m making a very simple 2D platformer in Unity)
The goal of the capstone project is to get us further used to the general project workflow, learn a new tech stack on our own, and put out a functional product and because it’s where my interest lies I was like VIDEO GAME
As much as I’d love to do all the assets myself and really make it my own that’s not gonna happen in the three weeks I’m given to do this so I’m using stuff off the unity asset store and itch for the most part (but if I have time at the end I’d like to do a couple things myself)
SO today I completed a basic tutorial that helped me familiarize myself with the unity workspace, completed a basic primer on C# (which. Holy shit the last time I tried to learn C# I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and now I’m just like oh I totally know how this works), and set up a basic project folder
