and is just a media term for a complex combination of ptsd and bonding through trauma
with no DSRM acknowledgement and no extended studies into it
itll be interesting to explore the like complexity beneath the idea of "well obviously he's just been tricked/manipulated/brainwashed by the evil bad guy"

b/c it's definitely more complicated than "now i think he's right" it's mor elike "now i understand why this is happening"

this is really just a manifestation of his desire for control over his life which was both unwillingly ripped from him and unwillingly restored to him
