like everybody's so young in this series, batman is only 26 in the first season

so alfred is younger too

AND he rolls up his sleeves like every other episode, like yesss show off those forearms king ;P

the height difference between batman and alfred is also perfect, alfred's nose is about even with bruce's shoulder

so I'm sitting there mentally shouting "JUST HUG ALREADY"

the bruce in this series is rly cool too

he's really nice and a lot more human, and his voice is higher and softer

and there's a lot of bruce stuff not just batman stuff

and he's like smaller, like his fighting style is more speed than power, which is cool

in an early episode he refers to himself as Bruce's "butler slash physician slash getaway driver" and like... that wouldn't fit in a dreamwidth name space but "butlermedicgetawaydriver" just BARELY would

but then I figured BOTH my butlers didn't need "butler" in their username so I picked that ;P

yeah it's something fans have called Alfred a lot

I think it's either a pun on a valet being a "gentleman's gentleman", or else a pun on a batman being the valet of a british military officer. Or both.
