....okay so I'm finally in the s1 finale

like I can get behind this but this is not where I thought this story was going

OKAY I'M OUT OF SEASON 1

and I feel like some people were waiting for my reaction to the last 10 minutes to season 1 but that was the big accidental spoiler I found so I kind of knew

early on I was like "how old is this guy" and dug up the RNM wiki and LOL it hasn't been updated since season 1 so there was a big spoiler right in the profile box where I thought I'd find an age

so then I was like "how the hell does this series continue for three seasons without the main character does it just swap protags"

and so I K I N D of know he comes back but the wiki is hella incomplete so I don't super understand what I read

idk if it's like "he's dead but he just gets better" or if it's just "he's gonna show up in dream sequences to be a supportive mindscape Yoda" from here on out

or maybe it'll just go full "he's the messiah" allegory and he'll come back from the dead in three days

but overall I'm pretty satisfied! It's a tight story and it does everything it needs to do to have a cohesive narrative

I can see where the loose threads can spiral out and create the TVD problem where it'll overstay its welcome

the "the government is Bad" stuff is the least interesting element and if it becomes a bigger presence it'll probably get boring

I'm sad that LadyCop seems to have gotten written out, since she was one of the highlights of the first season

but at this moment, with the first chunk down, this is pretty rad

she does come back every once in a while but Riley did get another show that she was a lead on

so it's more sporadic

glad she's getting dat money but sad that she got it somewhere else she brought a lot to this series

she came back and she's still wonderful
