we have a murmuration of starlings in our village right now, and it is amazing to watch these thousands of birds flying about in a huge flock, like a gigantic aerial ballet!
and people are coming from miles around to watch the display, I should have taken a picture of them maybe the starlings have?
but there is now starling poo all over our house,, garden and cars, and it is time for them to move on to France or wherever it is they go in summer
I love watching aerial flocks. They almost seem like macroorganisms.

I used to love watching (much smaller) murmurations of starlngs when I lived in Southern California. Those are some amazingly huge flocks
