THANK YOU this means everything to me, excited to repaint that robin into a proper ostara piece
the clovers at the top look so professional and refined!
honestly it really helps to like, chat about this stuff because sometimes—there's this THING that a lot of artists struggle with where like.... we feel like we have to be truer to life. one of my fave artists talks about this a lot! she's incredible at simplifying and pulling back but even she feels like she has to "prove" that she knows how a thing looks
and so the reminders that like... my quick and dirty texturing shortcuts to hash out a wing ARE an actual style and DO actually look good—it's really helpful!
otterbeans ah thank you!!! They're a sketchbook piece from this morning! Working on those thin confident stem lines
bonus red clover tea

a new WIP featuring peonies from our yard
done!!!
It turned out really well I think
oooh that's so pretty!! it turned out great!
thanks!!! the lil specks are ants and clover mites; I'm really interested in doing more still lifes with like... less desirable life in them, you know?
these ants were ALL over the peonies outside, and that is great for them, and it seemed interesting to include that reality in the painting too
