So earlier I was like "is it even worth the energy to keep trying to make this A Thing" and generally speaking people were like "yeah fam keep trying" so we tried again to largely the same/less turnout. And that in itself isn't a bad thing! You can't force people to play and can't force people to be pinged by something that isn't resonating with them.

But I'm also very aware that I probably won't be able to pump out an event post and a TDM every month if the only response is "idk I don't want to play that". That's fine for a big game with lots of casts where everyone picks and chooses what they do and don't want to engage with! But if it's primarily going to be something smaller and more intimate, I'm

is it more of a sandbox / do you guys even WANT events? Is there a style that works better for you in general?

or is it more an issue of theming? I'd been leaning pretty hard into "what is the most ridiculous thing I can think of? won't that be stupid and fun" but is stupid nonsense not the current vibe?

I'd like to find something stable that works before attempting another TDM, mostly because I don't think I could emotionally handle another dead TDM round

I'm also thinking about moving to an "apps always open" style, since it...doesn't seem to matter one way or another if there's rounds

I think maybe an apps always open style might be good, and maybe scale back on the TDMs? Maybe do one every three months or something like that?

That would maybe help take off some of the pressure to churn things out.

I think events could be more chill outside of the tdm for now? Maybe rather than a detailed post write up, there could be like "state of the casino this month: play around with this stuff that's happening now if you want"

I keep meaning to TDM a couple of my lesser-playeds but no energy; if it went to a looser format of "here's things" vs huge events I'd be inclined to actually app

what about like genre things? like what stuff pings you in general? One of the reasons those things get so big is from being like "I don't know what flavor you like so HERE IS THE ENTIRE MENU"

I play slimy crime man, so the darker/dark humor options are what I'm into

I mean, you know me. I'm here for all sorts of things. I do feel like this game has interesting corruption potential in a way that's not just like GOOD/EVIL and more what would you do for another hit of capitalism that I could be into

oh just an update because I haven't abandoned all this! I swapped the app stuff to always-open so that's a thing

event stuff should be up by.... sometime Wednesday, I want to say? was trying to have it done by the first and then my body went "no you are not getting into a vertical position" so it didn't happen yet
