yeah. VR was great for helping with all of Lupa's PTSD issues. ...unfortunately that just made him really chill and content to hang out with his pokemon and do little things like try new foods

which made hooks for RP hard

like if VR was a check-in game, I'd be happy to keep Lupa around, and bring him out occasionally when an event or thing happened that made for good hooks. but alas, AC is a thing.

i also think vr could benefit from going check in mode instead of wanting a full ac for this reason

yeah, part of me is like 'maybe the centaur sheriff?' he'd hate being human, but he'd also get himself involved in (anti?) Rocket shenanigans so that could be an angle to keep him active, you know?

another part of me is like 'but what if I found a condensed way to review P4 and brought Kanji in?' he would adore pokemon in general. make them cute outfits (contests whee!), and be annoyed at Rocket shenanigans and just generally would be good for lots of different CR probs

part of Pod would adore VR as a concept. the part of her that has a literal magic bond with an animal that can't come with her would just be a wreck

Zanki would be too chill for VR even if it would be fun to get him involved in a pokemon world themed battle of the bands or something. (but he's retired and taking it easy while occasionally helping out the next generation of defenders of the world is kind of his MO)

the part of me that's fallen back into the Naruto hole recently says "what about Juugo?"

except he's probably also too chill to stay in VR long term without some active CR for him to follow around like a puppy

(I suppose Kisame is also a possibility. He did pretty decently first time, and now that all the curve balls have been thrown in regards to canon, I have better ideas of how he'd react to different things)

(I could make him a rocket, but he would either be all 'really?' at their generally small time and laughably harmless goals or he'd go all 'fine, if this is my lot in the afterlife we are going international terrorist on these kids' ...neither of which would be very fun long term)
