The downside to getting diagnosed with AWP means I uh... need to get tested for Cystic Fibrosis because the majority of people with this either have CF or are carriers.

I'm hopeful that I would probably already know at this age if I did have it, but wish me luck, I guess.

what an odd set of specific symptoms though, wow

It's really fucking weird. It flared up really badly during the pandemic, presumably because of all the hand sanitizer and extra hand washing.

Fortunately the symptoms got better over time. Instead of my hands looking like cauliflower two minutes after getting wet they just look kind of funky after five or ten minutes. And they always go back to normal once my skin dries. It's the strangest thing.

The dermatologist was super excited to get pictures, but after seven minutes in water my hands were just getting a little bit of the abnormal wrinkling so he didn't bother, lol.
