it was fun to be there in-person and feel the collective energy and excitement of the playerbase and i even ran into and got a photo with foxclon but.... gawd what a terribly mismanaged event

i'm gonna try to write up an event report so i can retain better memories of it >_< it's sad to hear how badly ADA were treated tbh

yeah!! i hope they really take lessons from this and apply it to the other fanfests

honestly japan will probably have no problem w queues bc they're masters at that over there but it was SUCH a mess here

the best way to put it... really high highs and really low lows... and it seems like everyone had the same feelings...

It seems like they put way more effort into the organisation of EU fanfest.. the queues were still atrocious but it didn't seem as bad as what i've hard about NA

yeah i still saw some complaints about queues but even then.... the setpieces looked so much cozier... i love the idea of visiting the city-states where we started

the mini-games are still all carnival games in the end at both, but idk... they looked more thoughtful at EU - ours was mostly photo ops which upset someone in our group who doesn't like to take pictures

also crafting stations! how cute! i really wish we had that bc it's such a cute small touch of having another souvenir to take back with you

i know this isn't really something to complain about given the logistics of flying everyone over and such but i'm also very jelly the VAs were wandering around but it was fun to follow their adventures on twitter

i'm lucky i got to go to kupocon and get some moments w them!!!

i know it's kind of an unrealistic wild dream bc they'd need to vet everything but it'd be so nice if they could do an artist alley and fan panels too anything to focus more on the 'fan' aspect of fanfest!

in the end i could not go because of covid so I can't tell u how it was, but I do think it probably had a lot to di with the fact eu was smaller

since it's easier to plan interactive stuff like that for a 5k crowd vs a 15k one

BUT IF NEXT TIME YOU WANNA COME TO EU I WILL USE MY POWERS TO HELP U TOO

but yeah 15k is too ambitious, which i GET bc NA has a huge playerbase and they wanted to account for that but they really need to hire a company like reedpop who has experience running such large-scale events

maybe they really should just start doing 2 fanfests at NA since the playerbase is so much bigger there...
