[RPGs] we played The Zone for Vincira's bday with our irl friend Willow, and it ended up going on very long session-wise b/c that's how we are but it was very fun!
I played The Surgeon and ended up with the funniest random name it gave me: Dr Simon Sanity, MD.

i did not intend to play a horny comedy character, he was gonna be very serious despite a flamboyant wardrobe, and then Vin and Willow's characters were both very serious, so
I filled the niche of silly
absolute weirdo of a man who ended up heartbroken and a mess and just wanted to be loved, really. also very gay.
We tweaked the formula a bit since in The Zone the org your work for is the FBC, and decided to just say it was the Federal Bureau of Control, so we played with the in-game universe of Control and elements of The Hiss, Black Rock, etc.
so Dr. Sanity's body changed to be partially made of Black Rock, which is used as part of containment cells and other such things, so in a way this worked out SUPER ironically considering it was randomized that he made it to the end. there was also the narrative element where it made him immune to manipulation
which was fun to play with
b/c the person manipulating him was hiss-corrupted.
