Ngl the first book gives me twilight vibes, in that it’s kind of super simplistic and limited scope. I can see why they added the crows to the first season

yeah the second season is even more different

like I think I prefer a lot of what they did in the show

The darkling isn’t really interesting in the book either.

At least not book one

They try and make him interesting but I find him flat
