JUST A GEN PLURK FOR SOME VARIOUS THINGS, because I've been intensely absent

Life has just been a lot and I miss everyone

RP's been kind of a weird space but that's okay! I'm looking at a couple new games that are opening but I'm not gonna marry myself to anything. If things click they click! Otherwise I think it's okay to focus on some PSLs and other stuff I wanna do!!

the biggest loss is i just miss my game friends a lot u_u

Weather in Philadelphia is Hot and Sweaty so I've been feeling very trapped in my house which is never great for me

But autumn is creeping up so hopefully that will start turning around so I can go for more walks/to the gym (I'm been avoiding the gym because they don't like to air condition)

In other news we went to the aquarium yesterday and it was very fun

I love all aquariums and I hadn't been to this one yet so it's fun to cross one off the list!

We also went to see the TMNT movie and it was delicious

VERY FUNNY, a good breezy time and the animation was KILLER

I was glad to see them pushing the 2D/3D blend even further, and really interesting, wild character designs

The GRUNGY, DIRTY look of it was sooooo satisfying too

it's something you don't see a lot of in animation, period, but also I really appreciated as something that feels totally in line with the grungy, indie origins of the comics

Casting entirely unknown kids was also an inspired choice, and the cast was SO good, and lent a real cringey teen authenticity to the characters

Seth Rogan is kind of the perfect person for that though, i think the place he shines is the intersection between embarrassingly authentic teen experiences and sincere, heartfelt moments

IT JUST CAME OUT ON STREAMING OF COURSE, but I'm glad we saw it in theaters, it was a great time

I've also been playing Stardew valley for the first time, and predictably I'm addicted To It

WHICH WAS THE MAIN REASON I WAS PUTTING OFF PLAYING FOR SO LONG

But i was finally in the mood for it

I'm a huge sucker for a farming sim tbh

Also just saw the trailer for El Conde and it looks sick AF

Honestly, this is the first Ghibli movie in a long time I've been really intrigued by

right? i had to go show my mom, she's a massive ghibli fan
