Nor was I having or had previously had a heart attack. (In fact, according to the tests they ran, my heart is in great shape, which is nice to know).
Started having more severe back pains, some shortness of breath, some pain and numbness down my left arm... yeah. SO my doctor wanted me seen, but couldn't fit me in for the next few days so they directed me to go back to Urgent Care where they saw me Friday.
I hope they can figure it out soon!!
And after an hour wait there, when I got back to be seen they apologized and said they had no idea why I was triaged there because it was probably a pulmonary embolism and my doctors shouldhave directed me to the ER. They did an EKG to check for heart attack, but it was fine, then said, okay, do we call an ambulance fo you or can you get a ride.
So my poor mom picked me up about 5:20 and we were in the ER till after 2am.
Bottom line, they don't know why my back was so bad - or anything else - but they ruled out all the bad/dangerous things and to my mind we're back to a pleurisy kind of thing where the lining of the lung is inflamed from the pneumonia and is super painful.
I've had a much milder version of this other times I've had pneumonia and my latest x-rays again showed probable signs of pnemonia, so there you go.
MUCH better today - actually got up with lots of energy and went to work. Supposed to follow up with my doctor in three days, but they have no time for two weeks, so I'm playing phone tag with the nurse to try and find somewhere t squeeze me in - not that I expect much of anything from them, but... we'll see.
Told them I can really see anyone in the practice because I've only seen my new primary once, so it's not as if she's got a history with me and knows me better than someone else there.
sounds like a really rough kind of weekend in general but I am glad they ruled out the worst cases and that you're feeling a bit better.
