For the first time in... ever? ... I'm feeling excited about my thesis. Even if I don't 100% love the topic, I'm really interested in the subject matter of feudalism and oligarchy and the 2 novels I chose will allow me to discuss both those things. Kinda pisses me off that
these topics obviously involve Marxist and postcolonial thought and my first thesis adviser literally discouraged me from both those theories. They're like my top 2 favorite theories, followed by structuralism.
