whispers i've only played the demo for book of hours b/c i cannot afford the full game yet but legit i immediately fell in love with that game, it is so very very me
looking at this again and just... thinking about metro redux. i played last light first b/c it was a ps+ game of the month and before it i was fervently anti-fps because i didn't know they could have stories or be so compelling. i was so used to my cultural experience with fps games and gamers being people who only played CoD/Halo multiplayer competitively
fell in love with artyom hard and actually really enjoyed the emphasis on light and dark stealth mechanics and all that, so I started to give fps games a chance. playing metro redux changed me fundamentally as a person who engages with media and as a gamer
also man, there's so many games I've played that have been important to me or formative in some way, i actually had to cut stuff from this to make space for the ones that are on here b/c i wanted to have the greatest distillation of things that capture my interests or had a significant impact on me
