As far as anything Mahito-related goes, it's really nothing, and anyone sensible will realize they're safe if they don't touch him, making it super easy to avoid-- but as his technique is so foreign to what the locals are used to, mods have confirmed this will harm the reputation of the voidtouched as a whole.

So far, only Quentin and Dwight have shown any disapproval, meaning an overwhelmingly passive reaction that will reinforce the idea that the voidtouched are a threat. While there's no guarantee that we can actually lessen any repercussions, I still don't want to handwave actions for this much of the playerbase without checking in once more.

Still open to plotting/threading/handwaving reactions, but mainly looking for a headcount among the characters staying in town, of who won't be aware of the attack vs who just won't get involved in the situation.
