Nightsail: AMC picked it up as a TV series, and there are some notable differences from the screen adaptation. Louis is a black man, and there are no homosexual undertones here, he and Lestat are very gay for one another. There’s a share of New Orleans African-American culture and strife. Claudia is also as fantastic as she is frustrating, lol.

Really like this very of Louis. I find him much easier to empathize with. Loooved younger Claudia so much, but her ‘mature’ self makes me want to tear my hair out mostly - even if her feelings are justified, in almost every way.
They do a good job of catching you off guard with Lestat’s sense of humor. It’s awful. I love it.
The finale had a ‘twist’ that was I believe was meant to be like a false AHA!, but I felt like they just wasted three minutes of our time and a poor character... lmao
Otherwise, it was good!
Their flashbacks questioning perception/recollection were probably my favorite part. Such as with the rain, etc.
And it should serve as a great reminder that the characters that we see in series going forward might be muuuch different than the ones he’s shared.
They apparently have the rights to the entirety of the vampire chronicles, so I’m sure we will be seeing a lot more than just this story arc, lol.
