Like I do have people to talk to, but I've been so distanced from old communities that I don't really feel the closeness other people seem to have with close friends and etc...

that this feeling doesn't persist on especially quiet nights

All my closeness disappeared long ago. Solitude is nice, for a decade or two, but even for me it's worn thin.
