So... driving on the off ramp to the highway when the engine hood popped open and slammed against my windshield.
Thankfully I was able to cross lanes blindly and pull into the breakdown lane.

got a power cord (because my emergency rope is missing) and tied it down well enough to limp home. Turns out the latch is rusty and wasn't closing properly.

Dad's trying to rust bust it into working again. No idea how I'm going to afford if it doesn't work. And I can't go on the highway to work with it tied down.
Hood is bent to shit and we're trying to bend it roughly back into shape
