I was looking through some old screengrabs from it recently and it was just like, oh yeah, I'll never get to play that game legitimately ever again

just thinking about meddling with my teams and when I'd get a new card that was like "GASP that might fit into my teams?!?!?!"

and there's SIF2, and I played a bit of it, but then the device I was playing on died and I guess I didn't set up account transfer right because I wasn't able to get back to my account on a new device so I figured I'd just wait for the English version, which they announced, because that's what I'd be mainly playing, right

they announced that the English version would come in 2023, and then they had an announcement a few months ago to basically say "hey still coming in 2023, guys!!!" and now we're rapidly approaching the end of November and, like, nothing...................

I keep my ear to the ground on it and it seems like it's not performing very well though, and I have a lot of confusion about what they're doing with the Love Live mobile game/s as a franchise

of all the mobile games I kinda woulda thought Love Live would have been too big to fail but they're doing their best, apparently

getting rid of SIF1 to replace it with a newer game with fewer features was certainly A Choice

it launched in a pretty rough state and felt like, well, hopefully after some time and updates they can fix some of these MANY MANY PROBLEMS but it's been long enough that it's kind of like hmmmn not sure how many of these problems they're really intending to fix

I also miss the N girls

someone on one of the Love Live discords was asking about the N girl 4-koma comics and if there was anywhere to read them (they'd been in-built into the SIF app, but of course, that's not around anymore) and I had a moment of man I hope somebody saved those

again, Love Live is big enough you think someone would have done, but like, what if they didn't...............

I felt like I'd seen them posted to reddit years back, looks like they're still there (I should probably go through and save them all Just In Case)

SIF2 is just like... I still love the characters and the music and everything but it just feels like, man, how do you land a flagship entry into this franchise that badly

I guess we'll see in the next month or so if they'll get anywhere with that promised 2023 Eng release date...
