and especially on working only the weekends (and sometimes a weekday shift or two)
Working the weekends maximizes money to time, because I will usually get a lot more tips on the weekend than if I only worked weekdays, which are VERY slow
But it sucks to ALWAYS work weekends....the time when everyone else in my life has off
so planning anything is a nightmare
and taking a weekend off means losing a quarter of my monthly income LMAO
I'm pretty far out from my next advance payment with my book so I need the money for basic bills and day to day stuff
Work on the comic has been going really well!! I feel good about it for the first time all year and very productive
but working very hard on that mon-fri
and then like, the weekend rolls around and it's like, alright time for my other job
I'm aware a lot of people have two jobs.....I've had two jobs more than once in my life
I'm just getting sick of this specific combo...
Also the owner of the cafe sucks, she makes it considerably worse.
If i can get some more income from art rolling in, I would love, maybe in 6 months or so, to see if maybe I can just do one weekend day or something
I really enjoy my coworkers, and it's SUPER close to home
it's more of a DUMB position rather than an actually BAD one
but I do worry about the sustainability of it, long term
I think you should probably quit
Weekend jobs are the easiest to get
Nobody else wants to work then
There’s 100% other stuff you can do
never not working is a lot, makes total sense to be burned out man
nijikai: This IS true....the only reason I stay is i do genuinely like my coworkers and it's a good social outlet for me. EVERYONE here is queer which is a very nice environment
Yeah but people don’t quit jobs they quit bad bosses
Literally just left mine because of that
I'm gonna defintiely start looking at other options, transitioning away...
