Now he thinks we live on the SECOND floor. I have once again needed to drag him away from our neighbors' doors.

Once I had dragged him (clawing and screaming) to the THIRD floor and opened OUR door, he continued to stare at me in deep suspicion and sniff at the adjacent apartment doorway as if this were some cruel trick.

Eventually he skulked down the last 20 feet of hallway, close to the wall as to avoid ambushes, and came home.
