today was a day of reverence and respect for the fallen of the attack on Pearl Harbor 82 years ago. The solemnity of the moment walking above the USS Arizona within the walls of the memorial tore my heart out.

I've been to the USS Arizona but not for this occasion. That must have been overwhelming.

heylisa: It was very much so. I hadn’t expected to be able to see the sunken ship below. It was a very eye opening harshness.
