(Not exactly "why is this game good," more like "what's a thing about being in it that you smile about.")
my favourite thing in Last Voyages is the patterns of people affecting each other and getting attached to each other
and the fact that it's literally there to fix canons
some of the relationships have been so unexpected and joyful, like Rorschach ending up as Iris' first adopted son
As a Whovian I do not know anywhere near enough about Iris and have very much enjoyed hearing about her TLV relationships!
No chill, big heart. (Hearts?)
How big is her found family at this point?
and she's in a proper polycule
ooh, good for her! with whom?
she wasn't butch enough for the first polycule but the man at the heart of it is her brother
Iris has also turned Maggie into a werewolf now
who has Iris, a boyfriend and at least one FWB
labyrinthium is a mashup of 80s fantasy and my fantasy loving self is thrilled. the players are pretty chilled out and it's fast paced without feeling overwhelming.
also i'm in my detective arc with both of my characters. detective conan whomst
Folkmore, and I really dig having check-in AC and that the game comms are only viewable by members.
lizblackdog tricia868 A werewolf?
How styxbutterfly I'm happy you're having a good time there! And having both your characters in investigative mode sounds very fun.
Angelcide Haven't heard of that one; can definitely see the merit in having a game be more private to the people involved in it.
a different werewolf character turned Iris a few years ago!
so Maggie was over here with a time lord werewolf girlfriend, which she takes as an excellent example of how weird the multiverse is
(Maggie is currently in a feud with Shaun about her choice to become a large canine, though - Mags had to take significant zombie virus precautions before doing it, obviously, no zombie wolves allowed)
I have got an Invite for January if you'd be interested c:
I always think it's funny how different various people's preferences are - me over here going, "I cannot app a private comms game because I need to read things to make sure I want to app, because what if I don't love the speed or format or general vibe or what have you"
whereas for some people that's a selling point!
(I regularly have other sorts of these moments with Vik, because despite being a household of quiet non neurotypical nerds, our brains work very differently. It's cool.)
tricia868: Usually I'm the same way, but arrival and premise is
here stuff about roles is
here and FAQ is
here
I can attest it's a super chill game. There's no AC you have to make so your pace and level of involvement is up to you c:
Some people are very involved and some just post to the foxi network once a month
tricia868 That's an adorable fanart. Also Maggie, a dog person, getting a canine form? Excellent.
Angelcide I'm not up to anything for January, alas, but the premise is really neat and a chill, slow environment like that will be a big selling point for me when I'm a bit more out of my shell.
It looks like a really transformative, contemplative game.
