secondlife.com/SLim/ and you have to download the viewer and the SLim... log into the viewer once to load your friends list

then you can use the SL im... the veiwer is linked to SLim and sets up your friends list for you but you only need to log in once to setup

nooo you talk to them through the inworld IM system... you just have to have the viewer that is made for SLim so it links with your friends
