How can I focus, and avoid distractions to do well in my finals?

Well focusing takes determination plain and simple. What you should do is put away all distractions and focus on what's important.

If there are outside distractions, like say someone is blaring music you can either ask them to keep the noise down. Or playing some music

that you find relaxing might help.
