does anyone else get frustrated with the lack of control we have over our careers as teachers? Where we teach, what we teach, etc.?

there are risks I'm willing to take, but with a family (especially) there are financial risks I just can't

no matter how great a teacher I might be, I am still a 6 year teacher getting paid a 6y teacher rate no matter how much or hard I work...

I used to own my own business and when something wasn't going right or needed changing I could just do it. I could fix a problem.

Basically I am losing most of my Spanish 1 classes and getting all of the "Intro" exploratory classes.

Spanish 1 for H.S credit is the only reason I agreed to teach in M.S.
