oooh, just saw the very clever workaround to gachas! Arcade is using a HUD that gives you a random lineup of prizes, so you know which prize you'll win if you pay. The HUD resets every 24 hours.

OK, so it does seem complicated (all moral questions aside) to be necking with my married (to a man) next door neighbor at tea dance.

My 101-year-old upstairs neighbor died this afternoon. We weren't friends, but just proximity to the passing of such a life is sobering. To die peacefully at home on one's own terms at that age is something amazing.
