for those following along, I slept in my own bed last night for the first time since Dec. 22, 2022!

Had surgery today. Seems to have gone well. Recovering one night in the hospital before going home (to an accessible hotel room) tomorrow.

life update: lots of suck going on. out of my home for over a month, still no move back date, but my landlords are raising my rent $150/mo. And I'm having my ankle fused in two weeks, 6-8 weeks no weight on it to follow. Upside: lots of support for the surgery.

Have any of you made a "friends and family" type mastodon instance? Or are interested in the same? I'd pony up towards sharing the cost of a hosted server (the cheapest I've found that's accepting new accounts is about $30/month for 100 users).

I hate when you find something lovely on SL marketplace but the store has all sorts of unrelated lovely things, so you have to assume they're all ripped.
